Comic Con Baltics Prop Weapons Rules

Comic Con Baltics is committed to ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for all attendees, guests, and staff. To maintain a secure environment, all attendees bringing prop weapons must comply with the following regulations. It is your responsibility to ensure your props comply with these rules before entering the event.

General Regulations

  • Real weapons are strictly prohibited. This includes firearms, knives, swords, axes, or any object intended to cause harm.
  • Prop weapons must be made from safe materials (foam, plastic, wood) and must not have sharp edges or functional mechanisms.
  • Airsoft and firearm replicas are allowed only if they are deactivated:
    • No batteries, gas, or ammunition.
    • Clearly visible orange tip or bright marking to indicate it is non-functional.
    • Must not be carried in a way that resembles a real firearm.
  • Metal weapons are not allowed, even if dulled.
  • Props that resemble modern firearms must have distinct coloring to make them clearly identifiable as non-functional.

Allowed Prop Weapons

✅ Foam, plastic, or resin weapons that are lightweight and non-dangerous.
✅ 3D-printed or molded props, as long as they are blunt and non-harmful.
✅ Light-up or plastic sabers.
✅ Bows without strings, or arrows with soft, non-dangerous tips.
✅ Airsoft or firearm replicas that are deactivated, unloaded, and clearly marked with bright indicators.
✅ Cosplay shields and swords made of foam, plastic, or lightweight wood.

Prohibited Weapons and Props

❌ Heavy or dangerous props made of metal, glass, or thick wood.
❌ Stun guns, batons, or other real self-defense weapons.

Carrying and Displaying Prop Weapons

  • Props must be carried responsibly and must never be pointed at others in a threatening manner.
  • Swinging, firing, or engaging in mock combat is strictly prohibited.
  • Props must not block walkways, doors, or emergency exits.
  • If event security determines that a prop is unsafe, attendees may be asked to store it outside the venue or modify it to comply with safety regulations.
  • Large props must be manageable and should not exceed 2 meters in length unless prior approval is granted by event organizers.

Consequences for Violating the Rules

  • Any attendee who does not follow these rules may be removed from the event without a refund.
  • Security personnel have the final say on whether a prop is allowed inside.
  • Confiscated props must be collected at the end of the event, or they will be disposed of.

Important Notes

  • All attendees must comply with these rules to ensure a safe and enjoyable event for everyone.
  • If you are unsure whether your prop complies with the rules, we recommend contacting event organizers before the event.
  • Rules are subject to updates, so please check for the latest information on the official event page before attending.
