Natural Habitat Shorts

Natural Habitat Shorts is a series of animations on TikTok, Instagram, Twitter, and Youtube. It was created by three former animation classmates, Brennan Brinkley, Nicole Low, and Tyler Kula, who needed a creative outlet during the pandemic. They decided to start on a
new passion project with the main goal being to make what they want and to make each other laugh.

While the three originally wanted to do longer format animations, with full time jobs theyfound that 10-30 second videos were the perfect format. They created the first three in early 2021 but when their friends and family struggled to understand some of the jokes they got the idea to add fun facts to each of the videos. Now fun facts serve as inspiration for some of their gags while other times, they’re inspired by real life moments. With each short they hope to make animal fun facts engaging and understandable for our audience by framing the facts around relatable human scenarios.

They posted the first three videos in August of 2021 and woke up to over 20 million views on their third video. Since then they have created over 40 shorts and amassed over 6 million followers across TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, and Twitter as well as over 8 million shares, 160 million likes, and 750 million views. With each short they hope to make animal fun facts engaging and understandable for our audience by framing the facts around relatable human scenarios.
