Sean Gunn, an accomplished actor and writer, is renowned for his portrayal of Kraglin in the Marvel Universe’s Guardians of the Galaxy films. Notably, he lent his motion reference skills to bring Rocket Raccoon to life in the Guardians trilogy, Avengers: Infinity War, Avengers: Endgame, and Thor: Love and Thunder. Sean’s motion reference expertise was once again on display as he embodied the character Weasel in James Gunn’s The Suicide Squad.
Sean’s journey in the world of cinema began with his role as Sammy Capulet in Troma Films’ Tromeo and Juliet. His collaborative efforts with his brother, the writer and director James Gunn, have extended beyond the Guardians franchise, encompassing projects such as The Specials, Super, the video game Lollipop Chainsaw, and The Belko Experiment. Sean’s diverse filmography includes works like Stricken, Pearl Harbor, Jesus, Mary and Joey, Pants on Fire, The Giant Mechanical Man, Who the F is Buddy Applebaum, and The Education of Eddie and Mortimer. Television audiences also remember him for his endearing portrayal of the quirky Kirk Gleason in Gilmore Girls and its Netflix revival. In his most recent endeavors, Sean continued to provide motion reference for Rocket Raccoon and reprised his role as Kraglin in the concluding installment of the Guardians trilogy, Guardians of the Galaxy 3. The year 2024 will witness his return to the DC Expanded Universe with the animated series Creature Commandos, where he will reprise his role as Weasel from The Suicide Squad and also introduce a new character, G.I. Robot.
