Eglė Vertelytė

After graduating with a BA in History from Vilnius University and a BA in Art History from VMU, Eglė Vertelytė went on to study at the European Film College in Denmark, and later graduated from the UK’s National Film and Television School, where she obtained an MA in Screenwriting.
Eglė has written and directed a number of short films, and in 2012 she presented her debut documentary UB Llama, filmed in Mongolia and internationally acclaimed.
In 2017, she debuted with her feature-length film “Miracle”, which had its world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival, and was nominated for 6 Silver Cranes at the 2018 Lithuanian Film Awards, winning 4: Best Lead Actress, Best Director, Best Screenplay and Best Feature Length Long Film.
Eglė wrote the screenplays for the long-form films 9-as Step (directed by Irma Pužauskaitė) and Pietinia Kronikas (directed by Ignas Miškinis).
