Janina Marcinkevičienė

Janina Marcinkevičienė is the Deputy Director General for Administration and Services at the Martynas Mažvydas National Library of Lithuania. She holds a Master’s degree in Intellectual Property Law and has more than ten years of legal work experience at the National Library. Currently, she oversees the development and quality of the institution’s services, as well as intellectual property management processes. Janina actively contributes to the shaping of library policy. She participated in the working group of the Lithuanian Ministry of Culture responsible for transposing the EU Copyright Directive in the Digital Single Market into national law, and regularly provides consultations and training on legal issues relevant to the cultural sector. During the discussion, she will share insights into the role of libraries within the copyright ecosystem.
