Vladas Rožėnas

Vladas Rožėnas is a writer, film critic, and advertising creative. He earned his master’s degree in literary studies with a thesis on cinematic techniques in Lithuanian literature. In his books, he aims to tell stories visually, give characters vivid voices, and combine existential themes with humor—like in a good film. If he makes the reader laugh, the author will be happy. If he makes them rush through the pages out of excitement or reflect on the philosophical undertones of Catastrophe—he’ll be happy with that too. Ideally, he’d like to evoke all three reactions, but he won’t push his luck with the gods.
