This spring, McDonald’s in Lithuania is transforming into “WcDonald’s”: the largest restaurant chain in the country will transport visitors into the world of anime

Aiming to provide unique new experiences, this spring marks the launch of its first anime-themed campaign. Starting Wednesday, April 10th, the magically transformed McDonald’s outlets will become “WcDonald‘s.” Visitors will be immersed in an enchanting anime world, and the menu will be temporarily enhanced with special themed flavors.

The distinct anime animation style, originating from Japan, has gained global popularity and is seeing increasing interest in Lithuania. For many years, McDonald’s has served as an inspiration in anime films and series, often featuring its counterpart “WcDonald’s”. This new initiative by the network marks an important step in integrating global cultures into the dining experience.

“McDonald’s aims not only to offer our visitors the tastiest dishes but also to provide them with new and unexpected experiences. This spring’s international McDonald’s campaign allows us to introduce the globally popular anime culture in our restaurants in Lithuania. From April, our network will feature a special anime theme ambiance, which will surprise visitors with new characters in this style, special packaging, and dishes with unique flavors,” says Vladimir Janevski, General Director of McDonald’s in the Baltic States.

During the campaign, McDonald’s will also introduce a new spicy “WcDonald’s” chili sauce matching the anime theme, containing ginger, garlic, and soy. This unique blend is further spiced with a small amount of hot chili flakes, adding an energetic burst of flavor with every bite, reflecting the vigor of beloved anime heroes.

Furthermore, the food at McDonald’s will be served in special packaging created by famous manga comic illustrator Acky Bright.

For more than a month, every week McDonald’s online will introduce a new special “WcDonald’s” anime series and manga comic. By engaging with the adventures of the heroes, restaurant visitors can dive deeper into the enchanting world of “WcDonald’s”.
