DJ Qualls, who breaks Hollywood stereotypes, will meet fans in Vilnius

“Comic Con Baltics 2026 sponsored by Samsung,” taking place on May 22–24, announces a new guest. American actor DJ Qualls, known for his roles in Road Trip, The New Guy, and the series Supernatural, is coming to Lithuania.

DJ Qualls is one of those actors whose name may not immediately ring a bell, but whose face is instantly recognizable. Over a career spanning more than two decades, he has appeared in dozens of films and TV series—from Breaking Bad and Lost to CSI, The Big Bang Theory, and My Name Is Earl.

Qualls’ career is often described as an unconventional Hollywood success story. As a teenager, he was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s lymphoma. Although he overcame the disease, it left physical marks that, according to the actor, later became his signature. What is often considered a limitation in Hollywood became his strength.

The actor’s career began with Road Trip, followed by roles in projects such as The New Guy, The Core, and Hustle & Flow, the latter earning a Screen Actors Guild nomination for the entire cast. DJ Qualls stands out for his ability to create vivid, unexpected characters who often become audience favorites. For example, in Supernatural, fans know him as Garth—a character who evolved from a minor role into one of the most beloved and widely discussed figures in the series.

DJ Qualls rarely portrays typical heroes, instead bringing to life distinctive, slightly eccentric, yet deeply human characters. This is precisely why his career has spanned decades and why he continues to be invited to join a wide range of film and television projects.

The actor will attend the festival on all three days. Visitors can expect autograph and photo sessions, as well as the opportunity to hear his story live on stage.

So far, the following guests have confirmed their participation in “Comic Con Baltics 2026 sponsored by Samsung”: voice actors Benjamin Byron Davis (Dutch van der Linde) and Peter Blomquist (Micah Bell) from Red Dead Redemption 2; Tim Downie (Gale Dekarios) and Samantha Béart (Karlach) from the popular video game Baldur’s Gate 3; as well as Elsie Bennett (Zoe) and Kaja Chan (Mio) from Split Fiction. The festival will also feature actors Mark Pellegrino (Supernatural, Lost), Finn Jones, known for Iron Fist and Game of Thrones, and American actor and director Nathan Kress, recognized by millions as Freddie Benson from the культ series iCarly.

“Comic Con Baltics 2026 sponsored by Samsung” is a next-generation entertainment festival that has been held for eight years, annually bringing creators and actors from iconic films, TV series, comics, and video games to Vilnius. On May 22–24, visitors will have the opportunity to try out the latest and already iconic video games and play them alongside top influencers in the “Baltics Gaming Expo” zone. The “Meet Lithuanian Film Industry” program will offer meetings with Lithuanian filmmakers and presentations of the latest films. The festival will also host the now traditional international Cosplay and K-Pop dance contests. A dedicated “Family Zone” will be set up for the youngest visitors.

The festival is partially funded by the Vilnius City Municipality.
