Gossip Girl Star Is Coming to Vilnius – Meet Chuck Bass in Person!

Ed Westwick, star of the hit TV series Gossip Girl, is set to visit Lithuania for the very first time. The British actor will be one of the headline guests at “Comic Con Baltics sponsored by Samsung”, the region’s leading pop culture festival taking place in Vilnius.

Westwick is best known for his portrayal of Chuck Bass—the charismatic, mysterious, and unapologetically complex member of Manhattan’s elite. Though often positioned as the show’s “bad boy,” the character became one of the series’ most iconic figures. The role earned Westwick two Teen Choice Awards for Best TV Villain and firmly established him as a global teen icon.

Airing from 2007 to 2012, Gossip Girl became a worldwide pop culture phenomenon. In the early days of the digital era, it dominated iTunes download charts, was broadcast in nearly 200 countries, and inspired multiple international adaptations. In Lithuania, where the series aired under the title Liežuvautoja, it quickly gained cult status among teens and young adults—captivating viewers with its portrayal of the glamorous world of New York’s upper class while exploring universal themes like friendship, rivalry, and identity. Even more than a decade later, the phrase “XOXO, Gossip Girl” continues to spark nostalgic memories among fans.

During the event, fans will have the opportunity to meet Westwick in person, ask him questions during on-stage Q&A sessions, get autographs, and take photos.

“Comic Con Baltics 2025 sponsored by Samsung” will take place May 23–25 at LITEXPO in Vilnius. Now in its seventh year, the festival continues to grow into one of the most exciting pop culture events in the region—bringing together creators and stars from iconic films, series, comics, and video games. Visitors will also be able to try the latest and most beloved games at the Baltics Gaming Expo, where they can play side by side with top influencers. “The Meet Lithuanian Film Industry” program will offer exclusive access to Lithuanian filmmakers and new film premieres. The festival will also feature the largest cosplay contest in the Baltics, and the first first-ever K-Pop dance contest. A dedicated family zone will be available for the youngest visitors.

Other confirmed guests for Comic Con Baltics 2025 include Jack Gleeson, known for his role as Joffrey Baratheon in Game of Thrones; Roger Clark and Rob Wiethoff, the voices behind the hit game Red Dead Redemption 2; and Tom McKay and Luke Dale, stars of the upcoming Kingdom Come: Deliverance II. The festival will also host comic creators such as Valerie Minelli (Mrs. Frollein), Luis Coelho (aka purr.in.ink), and Andrés J. Colmenares, the mind behind Wawawiwa Comics.
