A list of things you can‘t miss at Comic Con Baltics

Comic Con Baltics will take place this weekend on the 15th and 16th of September. The event will be even bigger than last year‘s extravaganza. There will be more to see, hear and experience, so here‘s a list of must-see things to make your life easier.

The panels. This is an obvious one, a chance for you to meet and participate in discussions with some of your favourite actors and artists. This year Comic Con Baltics will have a plethora of awesome guests. You‘ll be able to meet the stars from “The Lord of the Rings”, “Pirates of the Caribbean”, “The Walking Dead”, “The Game of Thrones”, “Avengers: Infinity War”, and an all-time classic “Power Rangers” among others. The panels that will be hella interesting don’t end there – you’ll have a chance to hear from sound directors who have worked on major studio films and video games, and it wouldn’t be a proper Comic Con without some comics artists – Emmy award winner Kaz Prapuolenis and the artist behind the internet sensation “The Awkward Yet” Nick Seluk will be among the guests. As always, attendees will also have an opportunity to get an autograph or snap a picture with our guests.

Cinema halls. It shouldn’t come as a major surprise that Comic Con Baltics will dedicate a lot of its focus to the cinema. We will have 2 halls that will be showing pictures throughout the event. The first one will show movies in multiple genres. This will be a wonderful opportunity to catch a movie which you missed during the season or at their showings during movie festivals held in Lithuania. The hall will also show the exclusive movie short made by students from Moscow cinema school and Gerasimov Institute of cinematography called “Magic First” – fans of the Harry Potter universe will love that one. We’ll also have a special movie hall dedicated to the cinema in virtual reality. And that’s not all, just like last year we’ll have props from movies and TV shows – think of the Iron Throne, DeLorean and the like.

Games & Tech space. This one’s for lovers of games. And it doesn’t matter if you’re into the newest releases (from Marvel, Lego, 2K, EA Sports, Mortal Kombat) or a fan of the classics like Pinball and other arcade games, we’ll have it all. You’ll also have a chance to play alongside some Lithuanian celebs, and we’ll have a special Bushido ring, in which you’ll be able to fight (virtually, of course) pro fighters.

Exclusive merchandise. Just like last year, Comic Con Baltics attendees will have a chance to buy some awesome merch, limited release comics, POP figures and other stuff brought exclusively to sell at the event. You won’t be able to find it anywhere else.

Cosplay competition and artist alley. Last year Comic Con Baltics had the biggest Cosplay competition in the Baltics – EVER. This year it’s back, and you’ll have a chance to see some awesome costumes made by competitors from all over the world. And, just like last year, we’ll have the art alley where international and Lithuanian artists will be presenting their work.

Exclusive presentations of Lithuanian productions and discussions. Comic Con Baltics are taking place in Lithuania, so obviously we’ll have some awesome panels and exclusive looks into Lithuanian cinema. Creative teams and actors behind various projects will present never-seen-before footage, teasers and trailers. We will also have Lithuanian animators represented at the event. Aside from that, you’ll also have a chance to participate in a wide range of discussions on piracy, creativity in the age of social media, and meet some of the most famous content creators in Lithuania.

Things happening in the open. There will be plenty of action happening outside the halls of LITEXPO. The little ones will be able to spend some time on trampolines, fans of extreme sports will have a good time watching pro skaters and BMXers doing their thing on a mini ramp. Also, don‘t forget to look up when you‘re outside as Lithuanian F3U drone championship will also take place during the event.

The smallest superheroes. Parents with little kids will find plenty of things to do, there will be designated areas inside and outside of the exposition centre where children will be able to play table, educational and other games.
