Famous Hollywood actors in Vilnius – stars from “Stranger Things” and “The Witcher” arrived

A plane landed at Vilnius Airport with one of the most popular “Stranger Things” series actors, Nikola Djuricko, who played the charismatic role of Yuri Ismailov. Visiting Lithuania for the second time, this time the actor came not to shoot a film, but to meet fans at the biggest popular culture event in the Baltic countries – “Comic Con Baltics 2023”.

A little earlier, at the capital’s airport, appeared the British actress Anna Shaffer, who played memorable roles in the series “The Witcher” and in the “Harry Potter” films.

Returning for the second time

“I can’t wait to meet all the fans at the event. We filmed a series in Lithuania, so the country is familiar to me. I also know Lithuanian snow,” Nikola Djuricko smiled as he stepped through the doors of the airport arrival hall.

During his career, spanning several decades, N. Djuricko played almost a hundred different roles in various genre films and television series. However, one of the most famous and memorable is the role of Yuri Ismailov in the American science fiction series “Stranger Things”. It was during the filming of this series that the actor first visited Lithuania. In addition to other prominent roles in film and television projects such as “World War Z,” “In the Land of Blood and Honey,” “The Living Man,” and “Legends,” N. Djuricko is also known as a director. His portfolio includes five directed films and series.

More guests arriving

A little earlier, at the capital’s airport, a plane from the UK appeared with British actress Anna Shaffer, who gained fame for her role in the popular fantasy film “Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince”. In the film, the actress portrayed the charming and cheerful Gryffindor student Romilda Vane. After a successful performance, she was invited to film in two other Harry Potter films – “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows” Part One and Part Two. Continuing her career towards the peak, the actress was led by magical characters. In 2019, she appeared in the popular fantasy series “The Witcher”, where she played the sorceress Triss Merigold. Also, known creators of online content have reached Lithuania, invited by the organizers of the popular culture event.

Through the doors of Vilnius Airport, for the second time, stepped TomSka, whose real name is Thomas Ridgewell. The comedy virtuoso, writer, director, and “YouTube” platform holder with over 7 million subscribers, visited “Comic Con Baltics” last year, but due to the particularly high fan attention, he was invited to the event once again, this time accompanied by his colleague Eddie Bowley, better known as Eddache.

“And back in Lithuania again! I promised to come back with my content creator friend. Here is my friend Eddache!” said TomSka.

Among the arriving passengers was also a talented artist and author of online comics from Germany – Jenny-Jinya. In the poignant online comic series “Loving Reaper,” the girl explores complex themes such as life, death, empathy, and the consequences of our actions.
